Since its establishment in 1947, University of Hawai‘i Press has been dedicated to publishing books and journals of exceptional merit. The first journal published by the Press was Philosophy East and West, which debuted in 1951. Although Pacific Science launched in January 1947, eight months prior to the establishment of UH Press, it didn’t carry the Press imprint until 1953. Both journals are still in print 75 years later, and today the Press publishes journals in a range of subject areas covering the humanities and social sciences. We welcome the opportunity to add your journal to our publishing program.
